Aeration Inspections & Service Agreements

Operation & Maintenance Program

In January 2015 the Ohio Department of Health adopted new rules regarding private Sewage Treatment Systems in Ohio.  This requires the local health departments to implement a program to monitor septic systems for regular maintenance and proper function.  Regular maintenance of your system will extend its life, safeguard your investment, protect your health, preserve surface and ground waters, and prevent sewage nuisance conditions on your property.

Every home in the county that is served by a septic system will be required to have an Operation & Maintenance permit issued by the local health department.  The fee and requirements for this permit vary depending upon your septic system type.  You will receive correspondence from your local health department relating to this permit and fee.   Additional information can be obtained from the local health department.
